W.A.L.T. Write a prayer using the you-who-do-through structure.
In class we have been learning to write a prayer using a simple structure.
I like using this structure because it helps me write prayers and gives me ideas of what to write in a prayer.
God of new beginnings, you fill us with your love and kindness, send us your Spirit to make us strong in faith and active in good works, we make this prayer in Jesus' name. Amen
Merciful God, you bless us with gifts of creation, help us bring peace and joy to others, we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Faithful God, you fill our hearts with faith, lead all people to a future of dignity and peace, through Christ our Lord. Amen

Instructional Sandwich
W.A.L.T write instructions, Today Room 2 wrote some instructions to make some sandwiches, I made a Marmite sandwich and it worked, I know it worked because it didn't rip or break apart. What sandwich would you make?
Instructional Marmite sandwich
A jar of Marmite
Two pieces of bread
A butter knife
And a plate
Step 1.
Place your plate in front of you,(on a bench, table or wherever you want to make your sandwich)
Step 2
Place your two pieces of bread on the plate in front of you,
Step 3
Open your Marmite jar by twisting the lid towards your right or your left,
Put the sharp side inside the Marmite and scoop a decent scoop of Marmite out of the jar.
Step 5
Spread the Marmite onto the face of the bread and scoop another decent spread of Marmite with the sharp end of a butter knife onto the other piece of bread onto the face.
Step 6
Put the faces of both pieces on top of each other and enjoy.

The Abandoned Jail
The last few weeks Room 2 has been focusing on making Narrative stories, what is a narrative story? A narrative story is a type of writing that tells a story. My story is about a poor family that lives in Texas, read the story to find out the rest.
The Abandoned Jail
Many many years ago, there was a poor family that lived in Texas on a footpath.
They lived right outside a supermarket and a clothing store, sometimes people would buy them some food and some drinks.
On nice sunny days they would go for a walk to the Community Park where they would sometimes make friends, the family thought nothing bad would happen until… “Uhh” yawned Coco “It’s so cold” said Milly.
Yeah it’s freezing, mum and dad are still asleep I will buy more blankets for them because they look so cold, I have $30 from yesterday” said Lola “Ok” replied Coco and Milly “Wait your only 10 you have to be 16 to enter that store by yourself, i don’t know why though” said Coco “Then go with her” said Milly
“Naa I can go” said Coco “Ok” said Lola “Lola, you stay here with mum,dad and Milly” said Coco “Ok we will stay here with mum and dad” said Lola and Milly.
3 minutes later… I’m back I got our w-what's wrong?” asked Coco in a worried voice “ T-two people in black suits with black gl-glasses t-took mum and dad, they were both holding a l-little black books” said Milly whilst crying “I WANT MUMMY” screamed Lola “I WANT DADDY” screamed Milly 2 minutes later…
Two police men came running towards the girls. The girls got scared because they have never seen police men before and they thought they were bad people. The girls shouted “GET AWAY FROM US” “We are the police we help people and find the bad” said Officer Levi “Really you do that?” asked Coco “Yeah that’s our job,” said Officer Luke “Oh ok” said Lola “So why were you guys crying and screaming, anything wrong?” asked Officer Levi “Yea you guys okay?” asked Officer Luke “Well… my little sisters were lying down with our parents, because I went to the Clothing and Furniture store to look for a nice blanket for my parents and some jerseys for my sisters and I, when I got back I saw them crying” said Coco “Ok so do you want us to go find your parents?” asked Officer Levi “Yes please” said the girls politely “Sure thing, wanna come? asked Officer Luke.
“Ok we’ll come” said the girls “Ok let’s go” said Officer Levi 30 minutes later…
“I’m puffed” replied Coco “Yea same” said Milly “How are you not puffed?” asked Lola “Well… training” Said Officer Levi “Yeah” said Officer Luke “Girls, you can stay here and we will look for your parents” said Officer Levi “Ok” said Coco
When the girls sat down Levi and Luke started running towards the Turkey store. “Is anyone thirsty?” asked Milly “Na” said Coco “No” said Lola “Are you?” asked Coco “No” said Lola “Ok” said Coco WOW THERE’S AN ABANDONED JAIL CAN WE GO INSIDE?!?!?!” shouted Milly “Uhhh….. No” said Coco “WHAT your no fun” said Milly “Look, I don’t want to lose you ok?” said Coco “Ok fair enough” said Milly in a sad voice “Ugh fine let’s go” said Coco “YAY!!!” said Milly and Lola “But YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO STAY WITH ME ok?” said Coco “YAY I’M SO EXCITED!!!” shouted Lola “Shhhhhhh” said Coco “Sorry” said Lola “It’s okay, lets go now, remember to stay with me ” said Coco “Ok” said Lola and Milly.
30 seconds later… Coco, Lola and Milly get inside the jail, “Im kinda getting creeped out” whispered Milly “Ok then let’s go back outside then” whispered Lola “No i’ll be fine, I guess” whispered Lola “Ok let’s keep on walking” whispered
“Ok” whispered Lola and Milly.
Lola and MIlly got pretty scared so they got even closer to Coco, after walking for a while they found this very cute jail cell surprisingly, so Coco decided to take a photo so she can always remember that she was brave enough to go through an abandoned jail with her little sisters.
“Oh how dumb of me I left my phone on the bench outside i will go and get it so I can take a photo, you two stay here I will get my phone if it’s still there or someone took it” whispered Coco “Umm o-okay” whispered Lola and Milly whilst shivering.
While Coco was going back outside to the bench to get her phone Lola and Milly didn’t really listen to Coco and kept on walking towards a very dark and creepy jail cell, Lola and Milly heard some BANGs and some footsteps, Lola and Milly got very creeped out and tried to stay calm, they went inside the creepy jail because they tried to scare Coco not knowing that they wou- oh im spoiling the rest of the story nevermind you can read to find out.
Eh hem, so Lola and Milly went inside the jail cell expecting to scare Coco they heard a quiet growl from behind and they thought they were just hearing things so they heard Coco’s footsteps coming closer and closer when Coco just got to the cute jail cell and took a couple of photos.
‘’Lola, Milly where are you guys I told you to stay here i´m coming to find you this better not be a joke’’ shouted Coco “Hehe” giggled Lola “Shhhh” whispered Milly,
Lola didn't say anything, “Look she is going to the other side of the jail,” said Lola “Ok let’s get out of our hiding spots now” said Milly “Not so, fast, little ones” said Bobby the skeleton Lola and Milly slowly turned around with fear and screamed “COCO HELP WE NEE-” Lola and Milly couldn’t even finish the rest of the sentence because Bobby the skeleton and Jeff the skeleton tied the girls hands together and quickly taped their mouths shut , the girls tried to yell but this is what it sounded like “HMMMM HMMMMMMMMMMM” I don’t know if anyone could understand that but let’s continue with the story Bobby and Jeff tied the girls against a pole and locked the girls in the creepy jail cell.
Coco shouted “DON’T WORRY I’M COMING” Lola and Milly Muffled “HMM” “I don’t think you would be brave enough to go in that jail cell, my fellow monster friends scaring and probably abusing your little sisters” said Jeff Coco swiftly turned her whole body facing towards Jeff and they both stopped talking.
Coco started running around the corner and run closer and closer towards the creepy jail cell, once Coco reached the creepy jail Bobby was guarding the jail cell door Coco ran towards Bobby and Tornado kicked him and his boney body feel into thousands of pieces, just as Jeff turned around the corner he shouted “SKELETON ARMY ATTACK” Coco kicked and punched every skeleton and suddenly found the key to open the jail cell, Coco put the key inside the keyhole and opened the jail cell door, once Coco got inside the jail cell she untied Lola and Milly from the pole, then Lola and Milly slowly peeled the tape of their mouths, they grabbed Coco’s hand and ran out of the jail to find somewhere safe.
